Penny Leavy has cofounded numerous network security companies including HBGary and Cenzic (formerly known as ClickToSecure, Inc.). After HBGary secured government grants to initially fund HBGary in 2003, Penny put the sales, marketing and operations infrastructure in place to grow HBGary into a multi-million dollar business with customers in various industries including government, finance, software and entertainment.

Jim Butterworth is the CSO at HBGary. Previously, he worked at Guidance Software, where he was the Senior Director of Cyber Security. Exclusively client focused, Jim brings 15 years of "In-the-Trench" experience in computer network operations and incident response with him, having conducted engagements worldwide, in every industry, specializing in Critical Infrastructure Protection and highly sensitive networks. In addition, Jim completed a distinguished and decorated 20 year career as an Electronic Warfare/Cryptologist with the United States Navy.
Scott Pease

Scott is the Director of HBGary's Engineering Group. Prior to joining HBGary, he was an engineering manager with Hewlett-Packard Company working on various networked storage technologies. Before HP, Scott managed software development in Compuware's EcoTools division, and was a Software Engineer for several Defense contractors, including Raytheon, Texas Instruments, and Tiburon Systems. Scott is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and served in the United States Navy through two Arabian Gulf deployments from 1990 through 1994.

Thomas has over 25 years of experience in International / National IT consulting, application integration and senior project management for multi-million dollar projects, all with an emphasis on Quality Assurance Management. He is responsible for ensuring the overall quality and reliability of all products delivered by HBGary. Before joining HBGary, Thomas was the senior QA International implementation manager at SITA. His responsibilities have included international liaison and the development of integrated national quality assurance systems.

An effective leader, Barbara is accomplished in developing accounting financial strategies that enhance organizational growth and maximize sustainability. Her expertise includes budgeting, forecasting, and cash management for optimal growth.
