Enterprise Sales Representative

Reports to: Vice President of Sales

HBGary is looking for multiple Enterprise Sales Representatives with a minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the security industry. Ideal candidate has experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations, a strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements, and a proven ability to achieve sales quotas. Excellent presentation skills and ability to travel are required. Positions are available throughout the U.S.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for all sales activities, from lead generation through close in an assigned territory, of HBGary’s enterprise malware detection, incident response and forensic solutions
  • Provide technical product presentations and demonstrations of HBGary solutions. Manage product evaluations
  • Develops annual business plan in conjunction with Sales Manager, which details activities to follow during the fiscal year, which will focus the Sales Associate on meeting or exceeding sales quota.
  • Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
  • Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors.
  • Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
  • Develops a database of qualified leads through referrals, telephone canvassing, email, tradeshows and networking.
  • Increase acceptance, adoption, and usage of company products within a client organization to create selling opportunities. Serve as a technical evangelist.
  • Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
  • Creates and conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects business problems, the effects of the problems, and the SalesCareersOnline.com solutions to their problems.
  • Sources and develops client relationships and referrals.
  • Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit detailed business information that will be input into sales database.

Reverse Engineer

Windows Platform

Candidate must be fluent at reverse engineering compiled C/C++ code on the Microsoft Windows platform. Candidate must have solid understanding of function hooking, DLL injection, thread injection, packing and obfuscation, and anti-debug/anti-tamper methods. Candidate should have demonstrable skills in reverse engineering and hacking of game-programs, copy-protection, and/or malware/spyware/rootkit programs. Candidate should be able to reconstruct unknown file formats and data structures. Candidate should be able to reconstruct unknown TCP/IP based protocols. It is a bonus if the candidate is familiar with reverse engineering the Microsoft Windows kernel and associated device drivers. It is a bonus if the candidate knows how to develop a buffer overflow exploit and/or shellcode.

Sales Engineer

The sales engineer will be responsible for all technical sales support for prospective customer and reseller organizations. Will serve as the pre-sales expert in support of the sales team and will contribute to all aspects of the sales cycle, as well as provide product requirements feedback to marketing and product management. Working as part of the sales team, the sales engineer will act as the technical liaison between the customer and the company delivering technical sales presentations to targeted prospects, customers and partners. This person will work closely the sales executives while executing the technical aspects of the sales strategy. Candidates should have technical sales experience with enterprise network and/or host security products. Qualified candidates will have a strong security background in incident response, firewalls, IDS, NIDS & HIDS, as well as excellent communication skills.

 

Quality Assurance Engineer 

Job summary:

HBGary seeks individuals with programming skills to work in the quality assurance team, with the primary responsibility of testing our products from the perspective of a malware incident responder.  Lower-level programming languages, such as C/C++ are a bonus.  Knowledge of C# is considered a significant bonus.  Our core product development team is based in  Sacramento.  The team is still small and offers many opportunities and no shortage of hard problems to solve.  We seek someone with energy, a positive attitude, and who can take the initiative; a self starter.

  
Summary of essential job functions:

  • Ability to write and execute a comprehensive software test plan

  • Participates in all phases of the software development life cycle

 

Summary of desired skills but not required:

  • Ability to code in a high level scripting language such as Perl, Python, or Ruby

  • Ability to do the IT work required to setup and manage lab test machines

  • Ability to write automated tests using TestComplete or other test automation software a significant bonus

  • Application development on Windows with C# .Net (System.Windows.Forms) a significant bonus

  • Application development on Windows with C++, both managed and unmanaged applications a bonus


Abilities required:

  • Ability to work independently or with a team

  • Ability to accurately estimate testing efforts

  • Ability to work effectively on multiple efforts simultaneously

  • Ability to step into multiple roles on an as-needed basis
